Why is science important?

Firefighters fight fires, and police officers keep our streets safe. What does a scientist do? Scientists use experiments to help discover new advances in medicine, and also keep us safe every day. For example a volcanologist, which is a scientist who study's volcano's, can save many lives from monitoring a volcano and discovering when it is more active than usual and will erupt. What are some other types of scientists? How does there field help people every day?

Favorite Part About Science

I have always enjoyed learning about science. My favorite part about science is that I always learn something knew. Science explains how things work. We can find out why volcanos erupt and why the sky is blue. I also love that science is not just about learning definitions but it is all about experimenting and discovering things on your own. Do you like science? What is your favorite thing about science class if you do?
